Coach Schmitt is entering his 8th year as a coach with the Northern HIghlands basketball program and he is heading into his 3rd year as the head varsity boys basketball coach. During Coach Schmitt’s two years as head coach, his team achieved back to back 20 win seasons.  In his first season, Coach Schmitt was awarded Bergen County Coach of the Year from the Bergen County Coaches Association and Bergen County Coach of the Year from the New Jersey Basketball Coaches Association.  Coach Schmitt is also a teacher of health and physical education at Northern Highlands.
